January has arrived and with it all the thoughts of a happy new year and changes we are all going to be making.

I’m sure that deep down we are all pretty much the same. Come January 1st I always have these wonderful dreams for the year ahead. First on the list is joining the gym, then of course if I’m getting fitter, then take a look at my diet and in general start to take better care of myself. Then when I am feeling happier with myself, this will give me more confidence, then I will be up for trying new challenges and there you go before you know it I will be a new person in 2010.

The reality is that I shouldn’t think any of this will happen and no doubt 2010 will be pretty average, just as last year was and the year before.

One thing that is a certainty is that fairly soon I shall start planning for my annual summer holiday.Why is it that I scrimp and save for 8 months of the year, just to ensure I have a great break in the school holidays.Every year I put myself under an enormous amount of pressure just so I can enjoy a couple of weeks fun in the sun.Of course it’s not just the holiday that I need to find money for.I will have to ensure I have some stunning new clothes, and of course with a new wardrobe comes new accessories.

Bearing this in mind, the one thing I have decided to do this year is treat myself to something nice at least once a month right up until I take my longed for holiday.It doesn’t have to be anything really big and costly, just a nice little treat.

During January I feel it will be my month for looking at buying some summer accessories. I am going to make a start by buying some silver jewellery. I have seen some fantastic silver earrings I like and of course if I buy earrings then I am just going to have to match these up with some gorgeous silver bracelets.

It could well be some new clothes for February and I haven’t decided yet on March.

I know that come August though I will be all set for my 2 weeks of fun in the sun and that’s all that matters.
